FIREARMS INSTRUCTORS

Instructors are current and retired law enforcement who are Certified Firearms Instructors and/or Range Masters from the New Mexico State Police, Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department, NRA, Albuquerque Police Department and Antiterrorism Firearms Instructors for the U.S. Department of State.

BASIC Course: DEFENSIVE HANDGUN – 300 Rounds/7-Hours

Defensive Handgun Shooting Course - This is a 8-hour class, and is designed for the novice-beginner shooter or the experienced shooter who wants to refresh their basic handgun skills. This class is recommended for those shooters who want to improve their shooting skills. The course begins with a review of firearm safety, range rules, shooting terminology, and moves quickly into shooting skills development.  Field demonstrations, short lectures, and many drills are utilized to ensure the students understand shooting fundamentals. On the range Instructors combine the lecture information with live-fire exercises developed and designed to improve the students proper handling & clearing of the weapon and shooting skills.  Each student is closely monitored and evaluated for their understanding of grip, sight picture, trigger and breath control, and stance while demonstrating proper loading, unloading and immediate action drills for their personal firearm.

ADVANCED HANDGUN COURSE – 400 Rounds/7-Hours

Advanced Handgun Shooting Course - This is a 8-hour course, and is designed for experienced shooters only! This class is recommended for those shooters who want to improve their tactical shooting skills.  As with all of our courses, it begins with a review of firearm safety, range rules, shooting terminology, and moves quickly into shooting skill development.  On the Range, there are field demonstrations, short lectures, and many tactical movement drills as well as live-fire shooting from many different positions designed to ensure the students understand more advanced handling & clearing of their weapon and advanced tactical shooting fundamentals.  Students are always closely monitored and evaluated for their understanding of proper speed and tactical loading, and immediate action drills for their personal identification of a threat and response.

BASIC DEFENSIVE AR-15 RIFLE COURSE – 300 Rounds/7-Hours

Defensive Rifle Course - This is a 8-hour class, and is designed for the novice-beginner AR-15 Rifle shooter or the experienced rifle shooter who wants to refresh their basic rifle handling and shooting skills. This class is recommended for those new rifle shooters who want to safely learn their required rifle shooting skills. The course begins with a review of rifle safety, range rules, rifle terminology, and moves quickly into shooting skills development.  Instructor Field demonstrations, short lectures, and many drills are utilized to ensure the students understand rifle shooting fundamentals. On the range, Instructors combine the lecture information with live-fire exercises developed and designed to improve the students proper handling & clearing of their AR-15 Rifle as well as begin to improve on their shooting skills.  Each student is closely monitored and evaluated for their understanding of grip, sight picture, trigger and breath control, and stance while demonstrating proper handling, slinging, loading, unloading and immediate threat identification action drills.

ADVANCED AR-15 RIFLE COURSE – 400 Rounds

Advanced AR-15 Rifle Course - This is a 8-hour course, and is designed for experienced AR-15 Rifle shooters only! This class is recommended for those shooters who want to improve their tactical rifle shooting skills.  As with all of our courses, it begins with a review of firearm safety, range rules, shooting and AR-15 Rifle terminology, and moves quickly onto the Range with live-fire shooting skill development and tactical movement with live-fire.  On the Range, there are instructor field demonstrations, short informational lectures, and many tactical movement drills, as well as, live-fire shooting from many different positions culminating tactical individual and partner movements, all designed to ensure the students understand more advanced handling & clearing of their rifles and the importance of advanced tactical handling of a rifle during movement, identification of a threat and accurate shooting of an intended target.  Simulated armed Terrorist and violent criminal targets are mixed in with simulated innocent children and citizen targets strategically placed next to one another requiring shooters to demonstrate their shooting skills and learn the importance of shot placement.

REQUIREMENTS - ALL FIREARMS COURSES

Students are always closely monitored and evaluated for their understanding of proper speed and tactical loading, and immediate action drills for their personal identification of a threat and response. All instruction materials, range time, and targets are provided by Global One Defense with an Instructor to Student ratio of 1:5.  The student is required to provide their own weapon and related equipment handgun or rifle, eye and ear protection, water and lunch, and bring their own ammunition.  If they successfully complete the course, they also receive a handsome Certificate of Completion and class picture.

GUN DISARMING CERTIFICATION – 8-Hours

This course is designed to train and certify anyone who is interested in learning and perfecting gun and rifle disarming tactics for those Close Quarter situations where you cannot or do not have time to make space to transition to your concealed carry weapon. To survive you must control the weapon presented to you by a criminal offender and disarm or draw and shoot while redirecting and controlling the offender’s weapon! This training is an 8-hour training course for all gun owners.  Short lecture and many hours of tactical defensive gun disarming survival tactics delivered in a variety of reality-based scenarios designed to replicate actual close quarter gun attacks.

GUN DISARMING - INSTRUCTORS

The course is instructed by current and retired law enforcement and other professionals that are certified 2nd, & 3rd Dan Black Belts in KRAV MAGA Israeli Combat Martial Art, are highly skilled and the best our nation has to offer in their respective areas as experts on weapon disarming defensive tactics. They are Subject Matter Experts with skills that have been developed from decades of KRAV MAGA Specialized Antiterrorism and Street Survival Training with dedicated service and training with elite Military Special Forces and Law Enforcement Special Weapons & Tactics (SWAT) units, and other renowned United States Martial Artists that provided them unique skill sets and unmatched foundations needed to expertly deliver this course that requires a high level of expertise with applied tactics proficiency tests.  Global One Defense Instructors have trained, certified and delivered these types of Gun Disarming courses to Law Enforcement SWAT, Corrections Officers, FBI Agents, Gun Owners Citizens, National Guardsmen, U.S. Marines, Fire Fighters, EMS and many more from all over the United States and in many countries worldwide.
